First Night Spokane

 

Since 2001, more than 100,000 people of all ages have enjoyed First Night Spokane, making it the biggest and best New Year’s Celebration in the Inland Northwest! First Night is an annual celebration of the Arts held on New Years Eve in downtown Spokane. First Night blends a combination of visual and performing arts into a presentation that spans throughout Spokane’s Downtown core.

First Night Spokane is a member of First Night International. The original First Night started in Boston in 1976 and has spread around the world. Today there are over 200 First Night cities in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom.

First Night Spokane was awarded “Arts Organization of the Year” in 2004 by the City of Spokane Arts Commission and in 2005 received the prestigious honor of “Event of the Year” by the Inland Northwest Tourism Awards. In addition, First Night has won several local awards for its public relations and marketing efforts.
